Impetus LSAT is a boutique, personalized LSAT tutoring service founded by Keonhee Cho. We pride ourselves on detailed analysis and a process-oriented, skill-building approach to the LSAT. While we have worked with students from all backgrounds, we specialize in helping those scoring in the 150s or higher who have hit a plateau in their preparation.

 

Our company was founded in direct response to the shortcomings of traditional LSAT prep. Most traditional tutors claimed to be personalized yet simply read from a book using a one-size-fits-all approach, had students cram hundreds of practice questions, and offered only superficial explanations. They provided little to no structure for what students should do between sessions, causing many to feel confused, discouraged, and burned out. Students were often forced to re-learn concepts they already understood or felt left behind when tutors failed to properly assess their progress. Even when students turned to individual tutors, many encountered instructors who treated tutoring as a temporary gig before law school and lacked a genuine investment in their success.

To make matters worse, most tutors only explain why each answer was right or wrong. This approach still leaves students with a burning question: How could I have arrived at the correct answer myself? This type of teaching fosters over-reliance on intuition alone, causing students to feel like they are guessing on questions rather than confidently building concrete skills.

Impetus LSAT was founded in direct opposition to these services with the intent to provide truly personalized instruction through detailed analysis, structured daily plans, and a true passion for helping the student achieve their dreams. Our teaching approach involves step-by-step methodologies for those who have inconsistent results due to relying heavily on intuition alone. It was founded to help those who are dissatisfied with the traditional methods and are seeking a proven method.
